AS Associates

Privacy notice

How we use the personal information you give us through this website. Last updated 30 October 2026.

Who we are

AS Associates is a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA registration number 0717158) at 11A Empire Parade, Empire Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0RQ. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us about this notice on 020 8432 2072 or at info@as-associates.co.uk. Our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is Z9911720.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us: your business name, phone number, the kind of client you are, the services you are interested in, and your message.

If you ask us to set up a limited company, we also collect the details Companies House needs for each director and shareholder: full name, date of birth, nationality, occupation, country of residence, home address, shareholding and Companies House personal code. We use these only to register the company and to act for you.

If you ask us to prepare your Self Assessment tax return, we also collect your date of birth, National Insurance number, Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR), home address and the types of income you have. We use these to act as your agent with HMRC and prepare your return.

The tax calculators work entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us or stored.

Why we use it

We use your enquiry to reply to you and to discuss whether and how we can help. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to contact you before possibly becoming a client, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website:

  • Supabase stores enquiries in a secure database in a data centre in the European Union.
  • Resend delivers each new enquiry to our office email.
  • Vercel hosts the website.

UK law recognises the European Union as giving your information adequate protection. Resend and Vercel are based in the United States; where your information is handled there, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as we act for you and then as long as the law and our professional body require. If you do not become a client, we delete your enquiry 12 months after you sent it, so we can still answer any follow-up questions in that time.

Cookies and other websites

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and does not track you.

The map of our office only loads if you choose “Show map”. Google then provides the map and may set cookies, under Google’s privacy policy. Our news page links to GOV.UK and the Bank of England, which have their own privacy policies.

If you message us on WhatsApp, your message and phone number are handled by WhatsApp (part of Meta) under WhatsApp’s privacy policy, as well as by us to reply to you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
